To provide an efficient and organised administrative, design and multi-media support to the team, thereby enabling Rosebud Centre to deliver a high level of service to its users.
Job Description
Full time Admin and Editorial Assistant required to work with a growing charity organisation based in Woolwich providing support services to vulnerable people. Candidate will be working in the Rosebud department, a centre for young women under 20. Rosebud Centre for Girls is a long-term project of Listening Ears.
Duties will include data entry and collation as well as editorial content management of the website and social media platforms. The ideal candidate would be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint, as well as blogging platforms such as WordPress for website management. The candidate should be experienced in the fields of administration, graphic design and public engagement. This role provides the candidate with potential for training and progression into youth work if desired.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal sensitively with general enquiries made to Rosebud Centre and provide a warm, welcoming and professional reception to users of the centre
- Provide general administrative duties as required (filing, photocopying and word processing)
- Data entry and collation using Excel and other visual tools
- Provide the team with accurate and timely reports of administrative and operational matters
- Report writing and Form building
- Writing correspondence to external bodies
- Event and activity poster design
- Newsletter design
- Social media posts
- Website updates using a WordPress or similar type platform
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level, possessing various transferrable skills
Essential skills
- Administrative experience: database management and data analysis
- IT Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
- Communication skills: reception duties, telephone calls
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- The ability to work both independently and in a team, as required
Desirable skills
- Youth engagement experience and familiarity with issues affecting young people
- Ability to engage with young people and assisting with workshop sessions
- Strong flair for creativity and ability to use own initiative
- Ability to take on additional roles such as Presentations, Promotions and Marketing
- Flexibility with weekend availability
